Based on the evidence presented to us, we found that Glenn Beck reported more Truthiness than Truth. We researched five topics that Glenn Beck reported on, and he reported Truth only 1 out of 5 times. Although Beck is a pundit associated with Fox rather than a journalist, he is expected to provide viewers with reliable, truthful information; he failed.
In contrast, The Daily Show's ratio of Truth to Truthiness was 4:1, while The Colbert Report was 3:2. Due to the humorous nature of these programs, it is inevitable that Truthiness will occasionally result. These programs are often required to focus on aspects of news that will be funny, which results in the omission of some elements. Overall, these sources provided accurate, truthful information a majority of the time.
Both CNN and MSNBC reported Truth 5 out of 5 times. For the most accurate information, we recommend these two sources for unbiased, factual news.
